Overview

This is something you will probably never hear again! But how often have you heard someone say they’ve had James Bond’s motorcycle parked in their bedroom? Probably never!

This is where this super-rare Triumph Tiger 900 Bond Edition has spent most of its life. Number 117 of 250 was purchased from France as a new bike, with zero miles covered. Since coming to the UK, it has been on display in the vendor’s bedroom. Perhaps we're waiting for James Bond (Daniel Craig) to come and retrieve it; we’re not sure.

Either way, he didn’t show up, and as a result, the Bond Edition still has zero miles covered, making it a virtually new bike. With the Triumph coming from France, it has undergone the IVA test before being registered in the UK on 1st May 2024.

Exterior

The Tiger 900 Bond Edition is offered in a single colour option: Matt Sapphire Black, accompanied by a distinctive 007™ and Bond Edition graphics package.

As expected from a bike that has covered zero miles, it is in pristine, brand-new condition. The bike radiates a sleek, spy-inspired aesthetic, evoking a sense of mystery and sophistication, making it as visually impressive as it is exclusive.

At the front, the Tiger 900 features a striking dual LED headlight setup, which not only improves visibility but also gives the bike a sharp, aggressive look. This has been fitted with a new, genuine UK-specification headlight to enable it to be registered and pass the relevant IVA requirements.

The distinctive front beak – a signature design element of many adventure bikes – emphasises its off-road capabilities. The muscular yet streamlined front end hints at its rugged nature. The bike's bodywork is deliberately minimal, designed to enhance both agility and control when taken off-road. The sculpted fuel tank has a slim profile, allowing the rider to grip the bike better during off-road riding. Despite its narrow appearance, the tank maintains a substantial fuel capacity for long-haul trips.

The black Ahront wheels are finished in matt black to match the bodywork and fitted with Bridgestone Battlax Adventure tyres, which still have the print and green stripes, showing they are new.

Interior

Straddling the embroidered ‘Bond Edition’ seat, there is a set of heated grips, with hand guards fitted as standard. There is also the billet aluminium handlebar clamp, engraved with the bike's unique number, 117 of 250. Above that is the bespoke special edition 7-inch TFT display featuring the 007™ start-up screen and animation. This is also where you can choose from six riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, Rider Configurable, Off-Road, and Off-Road Pro.

Accompanying the rider modes is an integrated ‘GoPro’ control system, along with a ‘turn by turn’ navigation system with Google, music, and phone operation.

With zero miles covered, the footpegs and rubbers are all in excellent, as-new condition.

Mechanical

The tubular frame of the Tiger 900 has been blacked out with a premium black finish to keep the bike as stealth-like as possible. This includes the main frame, headlight finishers, side panels, sump guard, pillion footrest hangers, auxiliary lamp shrouds, and engine guards.

Powering the Tiger 900 is an 888cc liquid-cooled 12-valve DOHC inline three-cylinder engine, which produces 93.9 bhp and 64 lb-ft of torque. The bike starts as you would expect and idles smoothly. It also sounds fantastic with its three-into-one header system and stainless steel Arrow silencer with a carbon fibre end cap and strap.

The gearbox is a six-speed unit; we presume it operates as it should, but with no miles covered, we will leave the pleasure of putting the first mile on the clock to the lucky buyer.

On the suspension side, Showa 45mm upside-down forks feature rebound damping and compression damping adjustment with 240mm of travel. At the rear, the Showa suspension features rebound damping adjustment and 230mm of wheel travel.

Stopping the Tiger 900 are twin 320mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers, while the rear has a Brembo single-piston caliper. This works together with the optimised cornering ABS and traction control system.

History

The Triumph comes with the relevant documentation and a certificate of authenticity unique to this particular bike, number 117 of 250. Also included is the IVA conversion application, which was successfully carried out, and the bike was first registered in the UK on 1st May 2024. The actual build date of the bike was 7th July 2022.

With zero miles covered, the Triumph doesn’t need servicing. It has received the UK-specification headlight already mentioned, and an invoice is included for the work carried out. The bike has also been given an MoT, valid until 8th January 2025.

There are also two brand-new spare tyres included in the lot.  We haven't taken a picture, as they're wrapped in black plastic so there's not much to see.

Summary

Just 250 models were produced to celebrate the iconic partnership between James Bond and Triumph. The Tiger 900 Rally Pro Bond Edition was featured in some fantastic stunt sequences in the James Bond film No Time To Die.

Finding such a bike with 250 produced worldwide is a task in itself, let alone finding one with zero miles covered, making it as good as new.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any motorcycle collector or James Bond enthusiast to own a genuinely desirable and limited-edition model, which we think will fetch in the region of £17,000 - £22,000, a bargain for any secret agent.
