Background
Introduced in 1977, the Porsche 911 SC 3.0 (where SC stands for Super Carrera) features a wider body than the classic Carrera. This particular model benefited from a major upgrade in 1980. By increasing the compression ratio from 8.6 to 9.8:1, the engine's power output increases from 180 to 204 hp. The car's performance is very brilliant, with a 0-60 mph sprint in less than 7 seconds and a top speed of 146 mph. Improvements also affect the bodywork, now fully hot dip galvanized and guaranteed against corrosion for seven years.
