Background
In 1996 Jaguar unveiled at the Geneva Motorshow the highly anticipated successor to the XJS, the XK8. The luxury sports 2+2 coupe and convertible was the marques very first V8 powered production car since the Daimler 250 V8 of the 1960s. Designed by chief stylist Geoff Lawson, the XK8 was known internally as X100. It shared its platform with the Aston Martin DB7 and was responsible to strong sales for both firms. The Jaguar XJ8 Convertible on sale with The Market is a low mile and owner example finished in an attractive silver over ivory colour scheme.
