Background
First seen as a sort of “entry level” Bentley in 1984, the Eight was a naturally aspirated car featuring the venerable L-series “six and three-quarter” liter V8, along with a distinct grille, sportier suspension tuning, and other changes meant to distinguish it from more upscale offerings.
Still very much a handsome, refined, desirable, expensive, and hand-built car, the Eight was also quite popular among those that could afford it, and by the time production ended in 1992, more than 1,700 had been built for markets all over the world.
