The Aston Martin DB7 is a grand tourer that was built by Aston Martin from 1994 to 2004. The car could be either coupe or convertible and could have either a six- or twelve-cylinder engine. This DB7 is a 1997 model, meaning it predates the introduction of the DB7 V12 Vantage by two years. This car has a supercharged straight-six mated to an automatic transmission, which is capable of 335hp, and 361lb ft of torque. The straight-six DB7s were ultimately phased out in 1999 due to a lack of market interest.
This DB7 is finished in a beautiful metallic blue. The paint is in excellent shape, but it is not without flaws. The turn signal on the passenger side fender is destroyed, but there does not seem to be any damage to the paint surrounding it. The underside of the front bumper has quite a lot of curb rash on it, and speaking of curb rash, three out of the four wheels are scuffed in at least one area. There are two small dents on the hood, and there is a scratch in the paint above the logo on the front of the car. The driver’s side of the front bumper has some white paint smeared on it.
The interior of this Aston Martin is white on navy blue and is highly unique. The white leather seats sport navy blue piping and they are in great condition, no holes, or tears to be seen, although they would benefit greatly from a deep cleaning. The carpets are navy blue and could use some detailing as well, but they are not damaged. The wooden inlays around the inside are in excellent condition and they show no chips or scratches. The dashboard is clean, the dash pad is free of damage, and the leather wrapped steering wheel shows no flaws.
Based on this car’s condition, it is safe to assume that there is no major damage under the car. Thanks to its age, it might also be safe to assume that there is some degree of surface corrosion as well.
The seller is the 6th owner of this car. The title is clean, and since its delivery to the United States in 1997, the car has called many states home. Among them are New Jersey, Connecticut, North Carolina, Florida, and Washington. The last reported odometer reading had the car at 49,794 miles. The seller took ownership of the car in August of 2020.
The DB7 is a handsome car from a particularly difficult time in Aston Martin’s history. Ford’s ownership over the brand during this time was overall a huge mistake, but Aston Martin’s unwavering commitment to building fine automobiles led to the birth of this fine machine. The straight-six in this Aston is a blast to drive, and it makes this car an absolute steal. This DB7 is an excellent candidate for some modification work, and it would also make a phenomenal daily driver.
